Now you can smell like her

Kate Moss is launching a new perfume simply called "Kate." I'm not gonna pretend like i understand what the descriptions of perfumes mean but basically it's floral, orange, and sophisticated (?). It's due in Asia and Europe in September and costs between 18 and 50 euros depending on the amount ur getting. I gotta cop me some of that. Maybe i can spray it on my pillowcase and pretend we're having a sleepover. I'm kidding but not really.

It's a Grand World

pop mag; agyness deyn and katie grand

So recently i've been hearing a lot about this woman Katie Grand who's a stylist and founder of the venerable Pop Magazine which is published twice yearly (tres exclusif). The UK magazine has had icons such as Madonna and Kate Moss (well she's an icon to me) on the cover. She's a powerhouse in the fashion world and according to the London Evening Standard "What Katie does and Katie says is as influential as it gets." Katie has also styled for some of the biggest names in the industry:

...exactly. Now she's the creative director for Mulberry and she's planning on taking the label in a more "fashion-oriented direction." Lovely. She has more vintage designer clothes than you can imagine (Comme des garçons, Alaïa, Chanel, Balenciaga, etc.)
She also used to date Giles Deacon (whom she is still close friends with) at Central St. Martins and is friends with Luella Bartley. The first cover of Pop Magazine was her friends Luella, Stella Mcartney, Phoebe Philo, and Liberty Ross posing as pole dancers... that's power.

vogue.com

This news is from a few weeks ago but since i didn't have a blog a few weeks ago...well... u get the point.

Gareth Pugh(!!!), Kim Jones, and Cassette Playa designer Carrie Mundane (I heart CASETTE PLAYA! http://www.cassetteplaya.com/) are designing tees for Uniqlo. A trio of sorts and it's based on fisher-price toys.. FAB!!
November 1st people!

Evil Goodness

If you're looking for original t-shirts and don't wanna step into urban outfitters and become an instant asshole (i'm guilty of it) then check this shit! The store is called Evil Genius and i love their batwing shirts which (when i get some dough) are miiine. Oh and they also have vintage jewelry.

Hot Briton of the week

Charlie Cox

Every movie leaves me with some kind of residual feeling for about 2-3 hours afterwards. For example after Superbad I felt abrasive and rude. But after Stardust I felt elated and royal... there was no doubt that my prince would come galloping into my life(on horseback or vespa)... and that he would be British and tall and casually charming...and his name might be Charlie Cox?

that didn't end up happening but the movie was great and feel-good.
apparently he was in Merchant of Venice though I don't remember seeing him

he's handsome in a charismatic, fun kind of way.

god i need to shut up... go see for yourself Stardust is lovely.

MILF!!!

wooahh teri... looking good mama. a desperate housewife no longer!!

Zac Posen wants to play

Zac Posen (the brilliant, the magnificent) has a new toy. He designed a Barbie and Ken dollset... it's based on himself and his own studio and Barbie is based on his muse/sister, Alexandra. The pleating on Barbie's dress reminds me of Zac's lifesize designs, and it also brings me back to a nostalgic time when all i wanted were barbie's clothes and they would only fit my middle finger. Screw u mattel...but i still wanna play.

Oh and did I mention that it costs $300 at FAO Schwartz?

New Faces

Keira Vs. Kate
Keira Knightley is the new face of coco mademoiselle which was-until someone i won't mention decided to buy it though i still love her-my fave perfume... I do miss Kate though she looks deliciously Coco Chanel with those pearls hanging down her back. Not to mention i have a serious, extremely serious woman-crush on her. but keira's great as well.
Samsonite is launching a new label called "Fashionaire" which is supposed to be based on vintage luggage design (see flower monogram design). Christina Ricci is the woman to represent it. I used to not really be into the whole.. pale faced christina ricci thing but now i really appreciate her unique fashion taste and so on and so on. Plus she was so good in Black Snake Moan.

Married to this shirt

Charlotte Gainciaga

elle.com

clever title.. eh?
Charlotte Gainsbourg loves Balenciaga and I love her and Nicolas Ghesquière so this is a natural threesome i think...
she was on the best-dressed list in Vanity Fair and she was wearing almost all Balenciaga and now she has an editorial shoot in the new Elle (which also happens to have an ungodly amount of pages) mixing her paris style with his pieces
tres tres chic
i'm sorely overdue for a leather biker jacket...goddammit .. oh yeah it's summer... well i have time
also you all should buy her album 5:55 that came out a few years ago... it was produced by Air and it's quite haunting
she's so beautiful and parisienne!!!!

Sienna En Vogue

copyright style.com

I love Sienna Miller
and now she's on the cover of the september issue of vogue which happens to be 840 pages... it inspired me to watch Factory Girl last night in which I thought her performance was brilliant but the film wasn't too accurate i don't think...
